Have you always had a talent for highlighting hair, giving the perfect manicure, or completing makeovers on all of your friends? The SOTC’s cosmetology class could be the place for you. Students in this program prepare for a career as a licensed cosmetologist, manicurist, or esthetician through a variety ofhands-on training, viewing video and multimedia presentations, guest speakers, participating in lecture/discussion forums, small group activities, demonstrations, and team training.

Students are also prepared to take the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology Exam. This two-year program offers a choice of three class sessions and is open to high school students and adults.

Entrance requirements:

High school applicants must be 16 years of age; adult applicants must complete the TABE entrance exam.
