Diesel Service Technology

Ever wonder who keeps all those big trucks up and running on I-35? It could very well be graduates of this program. In this class, students prepare for careers in the diesel service industry through hands-on experience coupled with mechanical theory related to medium- and heavy-duty over-the-road trucks.

Areas of study include

• Diesel engine fundamentals
• Cooling system
• Lubrication system
• Truck suspension
• Air brakes
• Hydraulic brakes
• Clutches
• Electrical systems
• Electronic fuel systems

Numerous local job opportunities exist for students who complete this program. This course is approved for up to nine hours of college credit from Oklahoma State University–Okmulgee.
